Marlin R. Grayson, Sr. passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his home. He was born January 21, 1948 in Evansville to the late George Roger and Virginia L. (Rhoades) Grayson. Marlin worked at Simpson Funeral Home and retired from Henry Fleigletaub Salvage, now Universal Salvage, in 1989. Marlin is survived by his son, Marlin Ray Grayson, Jr; daughters, Joann Marie (Mark) Barchet and Donna (Terry) Layne; brothers, Robert H. (Mary) Grayson and Charles E. (Rose) Grayson; sister, Mary Noble; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann (Garrison) Grayson. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville, 47710. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery, 3800 Kratzville Rd., Evansville, 47710.
