Marie Martin, age 84, departed this life on July 19, 2019 at Salem Care Center in Salem, MO. Marie was born on November 4, 1934 to Robert Sylvester and Minnie Chitwood Woolf in Shannon County, MO. Marie was united in marriage to James E. (Ed) Crabtree on December 16, 1950 in Mountain Home, AR. To this union three daughters were born, After Ed’s passing in December, 1992, Marie married Junior C. Martin on June 9, 1993 in Salem, MO. Marie was employed by Bussman Fuse Co. in St. Louis, and Barad & Co. and US Apparel in Salem. She was baptized at a young age and was a member of Salem United Baptist Church and then Little Vine United Baptist Church in Bunker. Marie enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, and she loved music. Maries was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, daughter Doris, brothers Wesley Woolf, Ernest Woolf, and Dennis Woolf. She is survived by daughters Betty Norris and husband Larry, and Donna White; four grandchildren, Lori Hubbard, Jaimy Sorrell, Brent Parker, and Amy Crawford; two great granddaughters Brenna Hubbard and Amaya Sorrell; brother Boyd Woolf; four sisters Lula Reagan (Edgar), Dolly Cowsert (Gene), Rosalie McCall (Lonnie), and Margaret Vineyard (Gene), one stepdaughter Judy Kunkel, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Marie Martin will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the James & Gahr Mortuary in Salem; interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
