Lanny Paul DeBee, 82, of Chester, passed away, Saturday, August 24, 2019, at his home, following a lengthy illness. Born, September 21, 1936, in Lawrenceville, he was a son of the late Robert and Ruth McCoy DeBee. He was also preceded in death by his son, Randy DeBee and by his brothers, Bob and Donnie DeBee. Lanny was a member of the former Newell Nazarene Church. He was a proud veteran of both the United State Airforce and Army, retiring after 24 years of service. Lanny worked for many years as tanker man for Quaker State until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #121 and the Free and Accepted Masons. Lanny is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Tolley DeBee; sons, Rick DeBee and his wife Yong- Su of VA. and Ryan DeBee and his wife Tracey of Chester; daughter, Melissa Mike and her husband Doug of Chester; sister, Joyce Wilson of Chester. He will also be missed deeply by his grandchildren, Krista Dailey, Alissa Butler, Shawn DeBee, Brandon DeBee, Nicole Smith, Dustin Meredith, Ryan DeBee and Jacob DeBee; great grandchildren, Brice, Jase, Jordan and Kyler Dailey, Payton, Hayden and Chloe Butler, and Layne and Josie Smith. We’ll celebrate Lanny’s life, Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. The Chester American Legion and VFW Honor Guard will provide military honors. Friends may visit with the family Monday, August 26, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
