Katherine “Shirley” Salluzzo, 89, passed away on August 26th, at her residence on Congress Street. She was the wife of the late Fred Salluzzo who died in 1999. Shirley was born on October 9, 1929, in Ballston Spa, NY, daughter of the late William and Helen (Guerin) Bedard. She worked for Albany International in both Hoosick Falls and Menands, NY. Shirley also volunteered at St. Mary’s Academy and was known as “Grandma Shirley”. She loved to play golf at the Hoosick Falls Country Club with her husband and friends. Survivors include her daughters Katherine “Kim” Davendonis (Thomas), Colleen Wyman (Donald) and Jennifer Salluzzo (Patrick Hickey), son Freddie Salluzzo (Michelle), also ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Shirley is predeceased by two sisters and a brother. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the immaculate Conception Church through the funeral home.
