Mr. Johnny Wayne Gulledge, 55, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, September 2, 2019, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Monday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Johnny Wayne was born January 26, 1964 in Mooresville. He was a son of Bobby Joe Gulledge, Sr. and Shelby Jean Gulledge Barnes and husband Gary, all of Kannapolis. He attended Grace Christian Church in China Grove. Johnny Wayne enjoyed all types of music and loved spending time at High Rock Lake. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Gulledge, Jr. Johnny Wayne is survived by two sons, Jonathan Gulledge and Gary Gene Gulledge, both of Kannapolis; two daughters, Lyndsay Gulledge and Ashley Jarrell and husband Brandon, all of Albemarle; one brother, Ricky Phelps of Kannapolis; one sister, Cynthia Gulledge of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Bailey and Brooklyn Jarrell and Dylan and Bentley Gulledge, and was awaiting the birth of his fifth grandchild, Sofia Renee, due to be born in December. Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
