John’s Obituary John Harrell Cobb John Harrell Cobb, age 92, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Mr. Cobb was born September 22, 1926 in Arden, Arkansas. He was a retired engineer with PPG Industries. John was a faithful member of Central Christian Church, where he taught Sunday school and was a former elder. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bobbie Cobb and one son, James Harrell Cobb. John was a gentle man with a caring and giving heart. John was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing a round a golf with his friends at New Haven Golf Course each week. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he studied engineering. He was also a Razorback enthusiast, cheering on the Hogs whether they had a winning season or not. He was a North Heights Alumni graduate of the class of 1944. He is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Mary Cobb of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Gigi and Tommy Still of Texarkana, Arkansas; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Tami Cottingham of Prescott, Arkansas; Mark Toby Cottingham of Prescott, Arkansas, and Kim Jester of Prescott, Arkansas; one step daughter and step son-in-law, Pam and Roy St.Clair of Hot Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Meredith Barnes, Bethany Walker, Josh East, Cassie Gonzalez, Zach East and Shelbi Boeckman; twelve great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Avonelle Shipp; special friend, Sylvia Carroll of Marshall, Texas; and a host of friends and other relatives. A celebration of John’s life will be at 2:00 P. M. on Sunday afternoon at Central Christian Church with Rev. Wes Byas officiating. Private burial will be prior to the service time. The family will receive friends at Texarkana Funeral Home- Texarkana, AR on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8 :00 P. M.
