JoEllen’s Obituary JoEllen Pitts Blair, 85, of Belleville, WV, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 22, 1934, in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Harry Glen and Mildred Fluharty Pitts. JoEllen was a 1952 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 1955 graduate of Camden Clark School of Nursing. She retired from Camden Clark as a Registered Nurse after 15 years of service. JoEllen was a member of the WV Farm Bureau, where she was State Chairman of Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. She was a Director of Wood County Progressive Farm Safety Day Camp. JoEllen was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph L. Blair; three children, Victoria “Torie” Sims of Washington, WV, Sue Ellen Wilson (Charles) of Parkersburg and Samuel Blair of Belpre, OH; her brother, Glen Roger Pitts (Patricia) of Enon, OH; her twelve grandchildren, Wendy, Benjamin, Christina, Chase, Seth, Joshua, Aaron, Tammy Jean, Tabetha, Timothy, Paula and Jason; and 28 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, JoEllen was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Blair. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Reverend Mike Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
