Grant’s Obituary Grant C. Barry, 77, of Wichita Falls passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Fort Sill National Cemetery with Chaplain Steven Kim, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Grant was born September 29, 1941 to the late Robert Carroll and Fannie Mae (Mays) Barry in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He met the love of his life, Mary Stewart and the couple married and spent the next 53 years together. Grant proudly served in the United States Army for 24 ½ years. Grant worked for 19 ½ years at Sheppard Air Force Base at the Auto Hobby Shop. In 2016, he became a Certified Texas Master Gardener. After retiring, Grant continued to work at Sheppard Air Force Base at the Commissary as a bagger. He loved being around people and always had a smile for everyone. Grant volunteered for the Wichita County Extension or wherever he was needed. Grant will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by wife, Mary Barry; son Stewart; daughter, Brandi ; and two grandsons, J.D. Bradshaw and Michael Barry. Read More
