Miss Genevieve Donofrio of Kearny passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 with her loving family by her side.. She was 89. Relatives and friends may visit in the Condon Funeral Home (condonfuneralhome.com) 684 Kearny Ave., Kearny, NJ on Wednesday morning, August 28 from 9-11a.m. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington. Born and raised in Newark, NJ she graduated from Westside High School in 1948. She then went to work for the Maryland Insurance Co. in Newark where she was employed for 40 years. She moved to Kearny in 1990. Genevieve was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Irvington Johovah’s Witnesses as well as the Kingdom Hall of Lyndhurst. She was predeceased by her siblings, Frank Donofrio, Jr., Joseph Donofrio and Rose Hopper. Surviving are her nieces Genevieve Romano (Raymond) and Denise Ambruster (John) and her great nieces and nephew Angelique, Cameron and Raymond Romano III.
