Frances Atchison Higginbotham, age 92, of McCalla, Al., went home to be the Lord August 22, 2019. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, McCalla. She was a graduate of Hueytown High School. She retired from Bessemer Tech College. Frances was preceded in death by her husband James Milton Higginbotham; parents Benjamin Franklin and Florence Carter Atchison; step mother Estelle Carter Atchison; two sisters Mildred Bunn Oglesby, and Ruth Atchison Powell; brother Benjamin Franklin Atchison, Jr. She is survived by one son Larry M. Higginbotham (Rhonda); daughters Leigh Ann Higginbotham, and Linda Collins (Lee); grandchildren Lori Winterberry (Grant), Lane Collins (Kristi), Brent Higginbotham (Amy), and Faith Argo; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson. Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Parkway Baptist Church, McCalla, Al. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM at the church.
