Eddye Faye was baptized age 8 in Basses Chapel Baptist Church in Altheimer, Arkansas by Rev. Demus Jones. Upon moving to Kansas City, Missouri she united with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. A.B. Simmons. While working at Menorah, Eddye Faye met and married a man who was “bigger than life” to her and after a whirlwind romance, on September 4, 1954, she married the love of her life, Oliver Augustine Clark. To this union, six children were born. In order to spend time in rearing her children, she began working at Owens-Illinois Plastics in North Kansas City, Missouri, where she was employed until she retired after 20 years of service. Faye was always generous and caring. She loved her children and her children’s friends as if they were her own. She always had a kind word for everyone. Eddye Faye was an active member of Morning Star Baptist Church until her health declined. She was a member of the Daughters of Morning Star and Bessie Tivis Mission Circle as well as other activities and organizations over the years.
