Cary Mason Roan, age 77, passed away on August 6, 2019 in Marietta, GA. Cary was born in Thomasville, GA on January 8, 1942 to the late Carl “Toby” and Thelma Roan. His wife of 44 years, Linda Roan, predeceased him in 2007. Cary’s current wife, Lucita Douglas, resides in Marietta, GA. Cary is father to Toby Roan (Jennifer), Shannon Gini (Rob), and Ashley Dixon (Chris). He is survived by grandchildren Alexandra and Taylor Dixon, Arden and Liam Gini, and Presley Roan. Other survivors are brother, Lark Roan (Janet), sister, Suzy Singletary (Russ), sister-in-law, Donna Annoni (Al), nieces Belynda Reneau, Hope Thompson, Stacy Copeland, and nephews Lark Roan Jr., Kirt and Koby Green. Cary is a member of the Episcopal Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Marietta, GA. Memorial Services will be held on August 24th at Noon at All Saints Episcopal Church in Thomasville with private interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cary’s memory to the LAMB Institute in Honduras where Lucita and Cary donated their time and sponsored children in need www.lambinstitute.org.
