Brian X. Colby, 62, passed away at home on Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born in Springfield to the late Edmund and Gloria (DiGirolamo) Colby. He was a graduate of Agawam High School and St. Anselm’s College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Brian was employed as a letter carrier for 35 years for the United States Postal Service and retired in 2012. He was a huge sports fan, especially the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and the Yard Goats. He loved to travel and visit friends in Florida and Canada. Brian is survived by his brother John J. Colby and his wife Melissa of Feeding Hills, his nieces, Erin and her husband Michael, Shannon, Rebecca and Patricia and great nieces Ashlyn and Ainsley. A Funeral Home service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 12 noon in Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, burial will be private for the family. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 4-7 PM in the funeral home. Donations in Brian’s name may be directed to the Thomas J.
