Benjamin “Lee” Brister passed away into the presence of his Lord and Savior August 24, 2019. He was born May 6, 1957 in Rosedale, Ms. to Lewis Edwin and Ruby Hollis Brister, both of whom preceded him in death along with his brothers, Louis Edwin Brister and Kenny McCormick. Lee worked for Helwig Trucking in Terrell for 11 years in operations and dispatch. His ability to effectively schedule the drivers and deliveries enabled coworkers and customers to have a smooth day transporting necessary items. Lee loved the Lord and serving Him and he was a member of Generations Church. He is survived by his sisters: Janette Ivie of Corsicana and Beverly Hale of Wylie; brother, Donald Brister of Ennis; nieces and nephews: Kelly Hudson, Stacy Hudson, Vicki Hudson Montgomery, Kathi Weiss, Jonathan Hale, Rachael Skinner, Robert Brister, Evelyn Brister, Edwin Brister, Suzy Brister, Cynthia McCormick Boyette, Susan McCormick and Patty McCormick Lincoln and all their families who were proud to call him Uncle Lee as well as a host of friends and co-workers, all of whom will miss him greatly. A Celebration of Life is being planned by his family and will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Genesis Center, 2675 SH 34 Kaufman, Tx 75142, or at www.genesiscenter.org.
