Rondeau, 89, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Landmark Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband for 63 years of Madeleine R. (Mandeville) Rondeau. Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 1, 1930, the son of the late Edouard and Robertine (Lefrancois) Rondeau. He is the loving father of Marc Rondeau of Holland, MA and Andre G. Rondeau and his wife, Elizabeth of Woonsocket, RI. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Christina, Jamie and Rebecca Rondeau. He is the brother of Real Rondeau and his wife, Lucienne of Springfield, MA and the late Lise Gondin. Mr. Rondeau was a life long resident of Woonsocket and a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy. He worked in construction at Hillsgrove Association in Providence for many years until retiring in 1992. After retirement, he worked as a custodian for the Woonsocket School Department. Mr. Rondeau was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a communicant of All Saints Church. Mr. & Mrs. Rondeau loved to travel. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed. Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 10th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, RI. The family will receive family and friends at 10:30AM at All Saints Church prior to Mass. Interment at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Alva P. Rondeau to the American Cancer Society Rhode Island, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Ste 3004, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
