Alice K. Weatherly, 72, of Corydon, died Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon. She was born May 13, 1947, in Curby, Indiana, to the late Albert Lewis and Margaret McClanahan Birkla. She was a homemaker, was employed at Super Wash in Corydon with her husband, James, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon, and was a member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Maurice Wiseman, Sr. and James Edward Weatherly; her son, Maurice “Tinker” Wiseman, Jr.; her brothers, William “Bill”, Kenneth Joe, Lester, and Albert Wiseman, Jr.; and her sisters, Katherine “Kay” Birkla, Trudy Miller, Marie Bennett, Geraldine “Gerri” Wendell, and Dee Crone Johnson. Survivors include her brother, Larry Birkla (Melviny), of St. Pauls, North Carolina. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery near Corydon. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Birkla, Charles Crosier, Chris Bolen, Mike Birkla, John Birkla and Wyatt Birkla.
