Graveside service for Wilson H. Evans, age 78 of Lindale, is scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Melissa Cemetery near Melissa, Texas with Dick Archer officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Mr. Evans died Sunday, July 21, 2019 at a Tyler hospital. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico on May 3, 1941 to the late Wilson Harris and Myrtice Atta (Wyly) Evans. Mr. Evans was formerly of Wylie before moving to Lindale in 2018. He served in the United States Army Airborne during the Vietnam War and was a member of the First Christian Church in Wylie. Mr. Evans retired from Alderman Bro’s Furniture Refinishing. He is preceded in death by his step-son, Danny Coker in 2010. He is survived by his wife, Betty Evans of Lindale; daughter, Toni Parsons and husband, James of Fate; 3 granddaughters, Paige Burrows and husband Braxton of Sachse; Shelbi Barricelli and husband, Anthony of Burleson; Laci Parsons of Fate; great grandchild, Jace and Ellie Mae Barricelli; 2 brothers, Larry and Ruth Evans of Indianapolis, Indiana; Brian and Linda Evans of Friona; and sister, Crista and Dick Archer of Amarillo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Wilson H.
