William “Bill” J. Sweet, of Battle Creek, Michigan, born on July 9, 1948, to the late Lavina McGhee and the late Dude Sweet, passed away at age 70 on July 7, 2019 in Tarpley, Texas. He was in the Health care industry as a heating and cooling engineer at Thornapple Manor, in which he retired. He previously worked with Battle Creek Public Schools. William was married to Sandra Sweet. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his sons, Timothy Sweet and Christopher Sweet; daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Walker; stepson, Angel (Melissa) Zabala; stepdaughters, Nauming (Cieth) Woods and Vanesa (Jerry) Curtis; sisters, Donna Vanderveer and Dorothy Butcher; and grandchildren, Ariel Atton, Taylor Hudson,Brandon Moores, Alex Walker, Dakota Walker, Thomas Walker, and Isabella Sweet. William had a passion for cars. He loved working on them, looking at them and in his younger years racing them. He was an elder in his congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His sense of humor touched anyone he came in contact with. He was a mentor to many and loved to spread his knowledge to others. To know him was to love him.
