Thelma Lucille Morrison Moore, 100, of Dunn formerly of Erwin passed away at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab on Friday, July 12, 2019, surrounded by her family. Ms. Moore’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm. The service will be held in the West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin with the Rev. Stoney Chance officiating the service. Ms. Moore will be laid to rest in the Baggett Cemetery in Salemburg after the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at West and Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin. Ms. Moore’s survivors include her daughters, Josephine M. Bradley of Dunn, Lou Jean Phillips Bradshaw of Erwin, Betty M. Simmons and husband Donald of Erwin, Patty M. Jackson Sanders and husband Jimmy of Dunn, and Gwen M. Quick of Starke, Fl.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Tony Morrison of Coats, and Bobby Morrison of Hampton, Va.; sister, Jackie Hardy of Morehead City. Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Jeronia Morrison; her husband, Joseph Moore; a son, James Ronnie Moore; and her grandsons, William F. Simmons and Travis Ray Jackson; along with seven brothers and sisters.
