Shirley Juanita Houston of Hickory passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Cardinal Health Care & Rehab Center, Lincolnton. Born August 12, 1953 in Burke County she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Pearl Molene Gilliland Houston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Glenda Tessenar, Shelby Jean Townsend; two brothers Darrell Houston, and Leon Houston. She is survived by her brother Tommy Houston and wife Mary of Lawndale, NC; her sister Gayle Denton and husband Don of Morganton, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Connelly Springs, with Rev. Roger Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery. Bass-Smith Granite is honored to serve the family of Shirley Juanita Houston.
