Robert’s Obituary Mr. Robert “Bob” Leland Hamon, Jr., an Edgewood resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his residence at the age of 95. He was the widower of Virginia Rose Clemons Hamon. Mr. Hamon was born to the late Robert Hamon, Sr, and Daphne Hamon on March 3, 1924 and was the oldest of ten children. He was a former upholsterer for Artistic Furniture Company in Cincinnati, OH for over 20 years. He was an elder of the Florence Church of Christ, a former member of the Grant County Church of Christ. He loved carpentry, farming and was a Union Steward. Bob was a U.S. Air Corps veteran in WWII and served in Germany. In addition to his wife Rose, Bob is preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Gary Hamon, four sisters, Eileen, Evelyn, Mary Lou, and Alice. He is survived by two sons, Fred Hamon of Edgewood, KY, Michael Hamon of Ft. Wright, KY, three daughters, Joyce Brown of Florence, KY, Susan Bowling (James) of Burlington, KY, Amy Lambert (Bill) of Burlington, KY, one brother, Ronnie Hamon of Williamstown, KY, two sisters, Norma Kinney of Destin, FL and Jean Dunaway of Erlanger, KY. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2019 from 10am-12noon at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Services will follow at 12noon. Bro. Fred Hamon will be officiating services. Burial will follow at the KY Veteran’s Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the KY Veteran’s Cemetery Wreath Fund. Read More
