Robert L. Scopelliti September 4, 1933 – July 21, 2019 Robert L. Scopelliti of Hollywood FL and Mt. Kisco passed away suddenly, Sunday, July 21st while enjoying an afternoon with family. Born Sept. 4 1933 to Madeline (Franzese) and Joseph, he grew up in Mt. Kisco and attended grade school in Mt. Kisco and Bedford Hills. Known as Scop, he graduated from Delhi University and after serving in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany, he married Marie A. Giardina in 1956. Scop was the Tax Assessor for the Town of New Castle for over 30 years and also part time Assessor in Mt. Kisco all while owning and managing Westfair Pools in Bedford Hills since 1958.A founding member of Kiwanis, Little League coach and a member of the American Legion Post 136, he enjoyed golf and collecting classic cars. He divided his time between homes in Florida and Mt. Kisco and continued to operate the Kisco-Glo motel in Hollywood owned by his parents since 1960 after their passing.Affectionately called “Pops”, his favorite phrase was “Family is Everything” He was pre-deceased by his beloved sister, Gloria Lipsky in 2013. Pops leaves behind his ex-wife Marie, 2 sons, Robert C. (Barbara) of Mt. Kisco, Joseph C. (Kim) Born: September 4, 1933 of Carmel, 5 grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Diana, Melissa, Joseph Jr. Stephanie and 2 step Place of Birth: Mt. Kisco, NY, Westchester grandchildren, Cole & Faith. 9 great-grandchildren and 2 nephews. Death: July 21, 2019 Place of Death: Mt. Kisco, Family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 25th from 4-8pm at Cassidy Flynn in NY, Westchester Mt. Kisco and funeral service at 10AM on Friday at St. Francis of Assisi. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mt. Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps. or the Ladies Auxillary of the Mutual Engine & Hose Co. are appreciated
