Robert Allen “Peter Gun” Lewis, 76, passed away Wednesday July 17, 2019 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Jerusalem FWB Church Cemetery in Seven Springs. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis was born in Duplin County on February 17, 1943 to the late James Duncan Lewis and Margaret Elizabeth Smith Everette. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lewis; two sons, Robert Allen Lewis Jr (Pok) of South Carolina and James Andrew Lewis of Virginia; two daughters, Margaret Irene Lewis of Virginia and Winter Roberts (Steve) of New York; one sister, Shirley George of New Jersey and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Everette Lewis Professional services are entrusted to the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
