Ralph H. Merrihew,93, passed away at the Carrington in Lynchburg, Va. on Tuesday July 23, 2019. Born in Andes, NY, Ralph was the son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Smith) Merrihew. An Army veteran of WWII, Ralph retired as the manager and building supervisor at the the former Steuben Athletic Club in Albany. An animal lover, Ralph also enjoyed camping and traveling over the years. Predeceased by his wife’s Ada (Parmlee) Merrihew in 1982 and Ernestine (Chevalier) Merrihew in 2018, Ralph was also predeceased by his son Ralph L. Merrihew in May of 2019. He is survived by his children; Sharon Jewett (Late Donald) of Lynchburg, VA., Debra LaBier of Schenectady, Robert Merrihew (Rene’) of Delanson, W. James Merrihew of Schenectady and Michael Merrihew (Michelle) of Florida, a sister, Ruby Eberhardt of California and many grandchildren and many great grandchildren A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Saturday morning August 3, 2019 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY.
