Philip C. Fermier, Jr., 99, of Harleysville formerly of Bradenton, Florida and Cape May, NJ died July 29, 2019 in Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg. He was the husband of Betty Jane (Matthews) Fermier. They were married 77 years last October. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Philip C., Sr. & Florence (King) Fermier. He was a structural draftsman then became a chief draftsman for S. T. Hudson Engineers for 40 years. He was a member of the Lansdale Lions Club and the Cape May Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking especially making duck decoys. He was also a boy scout leader. Philip was a member of the Cape Harmoniers Barber Shop Quartet. He was a member of Wentz U.C.C. in Worcester Township. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WW II. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons Philip, III of Reading, David Barry (Sylvia) of Bedminster and Alan Matthew (Connie) of Columbus, OH. Six grandchildren David, Jr., Adam M., Jason, Alison, Tom, and Andrew. Sixteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters Marilyn Fermier, Jean McAndrews and Ruth Streckenbein.
