Mr. Noel C. Burton, Jr., age 77, of 1412 Old Mayfield Rd., Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 after a long battle with cancer, at his residence. Mr. Burton was born on November 30, 1941, in Danville, VA, to the late Noel C. Burton, Sr. and Eva Towler Harper. Noel worked as an electrician at Ball Company and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Burton is survived by his wife Paula Dwyer Williford Burton of the home; sons, Noel C. Burton, III (Mary Jo) and Eric N. Burton (Shellie); daughters, Martha Burton and Jennifer B. Villalta (Mario); thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-daughter, Beth Griffin (Mark); and brother, Forrest Burton (Lynn). In addition to his parents Mr. Burton was predeceased by his daughter Eva Walker; brothers, David Burton and Doug Burton; as well as his first wife Jaqueline Senical Burton. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Reverend Arnold Faw officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force and American Legion Post 1097. Swicegood Funeral Service is respectfully serving the Burton family.
