Maurice Jay Wiley, 87, of Crandall, died Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. He was born June 17, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was retired from Hobart Service in Louisville and Tecumseh in Salem, Indiana, was a member of the Corydon Baptist Church and the Buechel Masonic Lodge #896 F&AM, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Carodine Wiley and Addie Mabel Hedden Green; his brothers, William B., Kenny and Raymond C. Wiley; and his sisters, Katherine Burnham and Virginia Lee Holmes. Survivors include his wife, Joan Blandford Wiley; his son, Darrell Maurice Wiley (Denise); his brothers, Rev. Anton Wiley (Elizabeth) and Arnold Wiley (Linda); his sisters, Doris Davidson and Carolyn Maddock; and his grandchildren, Kendal Jayallen and Bethany Noelle Wiley. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July11, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Keith McWhorter will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Corydon Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Chris Tucker, Joe Nichols, Kendal, Bob and Don Wiley, Tony Davidson, Tim Burke, and Jim Brooks.
