Matthew Y. “Hock” Hockenberry, 50, of Juniata Terrace, Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Born March 5, 1969, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Jack L. and Beverly (Yoder) Hockenberry. Hock is survived by: his brother, Timothy J. Hockenberry, of Lewistown; his companion, Diane Rhodes, of Lewistown; and Diane’s children, Brittany, Zachary and Alan. He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1987. Hock was employed by Overhead Door Corporation for over 25 years in loading and shipping. He was a member of the Lewistown Owl’s Club and City Hook and Ladder Fire Company. Hock loved hunting, especially for turkey, enjoyed playing golf and was a loyal Penn State football fan. A viewing will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. A graveside service and committal will follow at 6 p.m. at Pine Glen Cemetery, Pine Glen Road, Lewistown, with Reverend John Walters officiating.
