LaVae J. Straub, 76, of Beatrice passed away at the Beatrice Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. She was born November 27, 1942 at Beatrice. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Straub and wife Roxanne of Omaha and Tracey Straub and wife Patricia of Cortlandt Manor, NY; one daughter, Denise Riesen and husband Byron of Beatrice; 11 grandchildren, Taylor Roy Straub and wife Mollie, Andrea Ford and husband Trevor, Olivia Straub, Trevor Royce Straub, Tara Straub, Hunter Straub, Kara Marvin and husband Micah, Brianna Paswaters and husband Luke, Grant Riesen, Mackenzie Riesen, and John Riesen; four great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Beau Marvin, and Grayson and Elliana Straub. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Soap Creek) of rural DeWitt with Pastor Sean Koos officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:10 AM Monday in the fellowship room of the church. Burial will be at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Fox Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM with a family meet-and-greet from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. A memorial has been established to St. Paul’s Memorial Fund or families’ choice with Richard Rohe and Alan Holsing in charge: www.foxfuneralhome.net Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice.
