Kathleen “Kay” Cousineau went home to the Lord on July 12, 2019 at the age of 80. Born on August 19, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, she married the love of her life Henry “Hank” Cousineau on October 10, 1959. Kay is survived by her beloved husband Hank, children Michelle, Bryan and Danielle Cousineau, and grandchildren Sydnee and Bryan II Cousineau. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she worked at Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, Florida for 22 years. It was never Christmas without many Ron Jon gifts from Grandma! She always had a smile for everyone and loved meeting people from all over the world in the course of her job, sharing many fun stories of the people she encountered with her family and friends. Kay enjoyed ballroom dancing, country line dancing, crossword puzzles and game shows… and of course her family. And Maryland crab cakes! She is greatly loved and missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said for Kay on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Our Saviour Catholic Church, 5301 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931, followed by interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Scottmoor, Florida 32754. Please join us for whatever you are able. A Memorial Mass in Maryland will be held on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4231 Catholic Church Rd, Petersville, MD 21758. Reception immediately following at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7321 Burkittsville Rd., Middletown, MD 21769. In lieu of flowers family requests donations to The American Heart Association or the charity of your choice, in her honor.
