John Porter July 19 2019

July 19 2019
John Porter passed away on July 19th. John was a long time Floridian and was known for his love of the outdoors. He was a practicing veterinarian for over 35 years. John was a graduate of the University of Florida and a proud dad to four Gator grads. John loved his wife and the blessing of marriage they shared for 34 years. John treasured time with his family and especially enjoyed being with them in the mountains of Montreat. He was a man of faith who lived his beliefs through unspoken acts of kindness. He was a practical man with a servant-heart. John put his hope in Christ and Christ alone. He is remembered and missed by his loving family. Sympathies message

  1. John and I were the best of friends as kids. We hunted and fished together, in our Jr. High School and High School days. We spent so much time together. He went to Auburn for undergrad work and I went to Fla. We kind of lost contact after that. So sorry for the loss. He was my best friend in those younger years.
