Janie Shelton Laws Glover went to her heavenly home on Saturday July 20, 2019, age 84. She was born and raised in Erwin, Tennessee and was retired from Winn Dixie. She was a Loving Wife, Daughter and Mother. She enjoyed cooking and canning and traveling with her friends of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Holidays and other family get togethers. A member of the Embreeville Church of Christ and a 27 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, holding the office of Worthy Matron among other offices. Preceded in death by her parents, Burgess Harrison and Roseanna Shehan Shelton and First Husband, Rogers Laws and Second Husband, Ralph Glover. Sisters: Elizabeth Thompson, VA, Mae Higgins (and husband Foy), FL, Lovinia Foster, TN, Belle Bryant, TN. Brothers: Worley Shelton, TN, Walter Shelton, VA, Willard Shelton, TN. Daughter-In-Law, Donna Lane Laws, TN. She is survived by her Children: Deborah Gambrell (and husband Jerry), Erwin, TN; Brenda Stewart (and husband Randy), Gray, TN; Karen Wilson (and husband Ray), Erwin, TN; and Kevin Laws (and wife Susan), Jonesborough, TN and 2 Step Children: Larry Glover (and wife Carmen); and Debra Franklin (and husband Randy) and Grandchildren: Sarah Lyle, Rebecca Eads (and husband Matt), Rachel Miller (and husband Jason), Mary Evans (and husband Matt), Summer Starnes, Savannah Laws, and 5 Step Grandchildren: Shannon Gambrell, Cynthia Gambrell, Crystal Wheeler (and husband Alex), Christopher Stewart, and Chris Gambrell (and wife Whitney) and 19 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and special Sister-In-Law, Sue Foster. She is also survived by many, many friends and her special church family and 6 Special Friends: Brenda Bennett, Carolyn Brackins, Joyce McMichen, Betty Lewis, Julie Masters, and Kathleen Garland The family would like to thank all the staff that have cared for her such as Fresenius Kidney Care in Johnson City and JCMC 5200 wing as well as the Staff of the Center of Aging and Health in Erwin, TN that have become dear family over the past 3 years The family will receive friends from 5pm-8pm, on Monday, July 22, at Valley Funeral Home. A Service to honor the life of Janie will be held Tuesday, July 23, at Embreeville Church of Christ beginning at 10:00am with Mr. Kevin Holly and Mr. Kevin Laws officiating. A Committal and Interment Service will be conducted following the funeral service at Evergreen Cemetery with Mr. Gerald Holley officiating. Pallbearers will include Roger Shelton, Matthew Eads, Jason Miller, Matt Evans, Hunter Wright, Dawson Gambrell, Colton Eads, and Gideon Higgins.
