Helen E. Hays Baulos, 102, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth, Helen was born in Clayton, Illinois on November 8, 1916 a daughter of Otis S. and Leta B. (Harding) Hays, she married W. Scott Baulos, he preceded her in death on February 1, 1983. She is survived by her nephew Robert (Peg) Hays of Forsyth. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son: David Baulos on November 10, 1996. Helen and Scott worked for many years in the family business, Baulos Electric Appliances, where they sold General Electric appliances. She was later employed as a secretary for associated Anesthesiologist at Decatur Memorial Hospital, where she retired after 12 years of service. She also worked as a licensed real estate agent, along with her husband, at Baulos realty. Helen was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church since 1960. She was on the auxiliary board of Kemmerer Village. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends at the Southside Country Club, where she also played golf for many years. Cremation services will be provided by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery with Rev. Mark Gearig officiating. Memorial contributions in her name may be left to Kemmer Village, 41 N 2500 East Rd, Assumption, IL 62510. Condolences may be left at www.gracelandfairlawn.com
