Geraldine’s Obituary Geraldine C. Curry, 76, of Pilot Point, TX, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Pilot Point. She was born November 17, 1942 in Pilot Point to Lawrence A. and Josephine (Nortman) Blumberg. She married Henry E. Curry on October 3, 1970 in Pilot Point. Geraldine had a passion for helping others. She was a three-time cancer survivor and a die-hard bearcat fan–orange and black forever. She later became a Tioga Bulldog fan. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Henry of Pilot Point; two daughters, Juli Gibson and husband Curtis of Tioga, TX, and Leslie Simmel and husband Chris of Valley View, TX; three grandchildren, Colt Walker of McKinney, TX, Cade Gibson of Pilot Point, and Skylar Simmel of Valley View; brother, Richard Blumberg and wife Linda of Pilot Point; sister, Jeanette Hernandez and husband John of Fort Worth, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Josephine; and two brothers, Kenneth and Melvin Blumberg. A rosary will be held at 6:00PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Pilot Point, TX with visitation following until 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point with Fr. John Martin and Fr. Bobby Strittmatter officiating and G.A. Moore speaking. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point. The family is requesting those who attend to wear pink in memory of Geraldine.
