Born and raised in Jersey City, he had been a resident of Fair Lawn for the past 47 years. Beloved husband of Irene (née: Laccetti) DeRosa. Devoted father of John DeRosa and his wife Michele and LaureenDeRosa. Proud grandfather of Rebecca and Katherine DeRosa. Dear brother of Arthur, Richard DeRosa and the late Rita Signorile, Peter and John DeRosa. He was a staff director GSM Wireless for Lucent Technologies – Bell Labs Innovations retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Greenville Neighborhood Association and the Knights of Columbus both in Jersey City. He was a coach for more than 10 years for the Fair Lawn Football Association and the Fair Lawn All Sports Baseball. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Jersey City and Wagner College, Staten Island where he earned his Master of Business Administration. Funeral Monday 8:30 a.m. from the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market Street, Elmwood Park. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m. St. Anne’s RC Church, Fair Lawn. Interment Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to St. Anne’s Church, Saint Anne Street, Fair Lawn NJ 07410.
