Ethel Jean Hornback Wooden Ammons, 83, of Glendale, passed away Saturday July 6, 2019 at Signature Health Care Nursing Home in Elizabethtown. She was born in Sonora to Sam Henry and Ruby Florence Hornback. She was a Chef at many restaurants and was a home maker. She loved gardening and was of the Baptist Faith. Ethel was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister, Mary Irene Fields, and Brother, Henry Leon Hornback. She is survived by her Husband, Walter Thomas Ammons of Glendale, KY, Son, Gerald Ray Wooden of Sonora, KY, Daughter, Judy (Phillip) Kerr of Glendale, KY, Daughter, Gail (Don) Gribbins of Munfordville, KY, Daughter, Bev (Eric) Lucas of Elizabethtown, KY, Daughter, Rhonda (Tony) Rentas of Sonora, KY, Daughter, Sherry Wooden of Houstonville, KY, Sister, Eula Mae Rigdon Matthews of Sonora, KY, Sister, Ramona Faye Riggs of Bonnieville, KY, 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2019 2:00 pm at the Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora, KY With Bro. Don Gribbins and Rev. Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial will be held at the Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora.
