Erma Irene Bosh Mangelson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 18, 2019 in Levan, Utah. Irene was born on November 17, 1926 in Levan to Floyd Aaron Bosh and Emily Lola Shepherd. She attended school in Levan through 9th Grade, then graduated from Juab High School in 1945. She waited for her high school sweetheart, Golden R. Mangelson, to return from serving in WWII before they were married on December 11, 1946 in the Manti Utah Temple. Irene lived in Levan all of her life. She loved Levan. When asked about her world travels, she always said the best part was coming home. Irene loved and served her community at every opportunity. She was a wonderful support to her husband in all of his church and community service. She made a mean chocolate sheet cake. She showered unconditional love to all her friends and family. She opened her home to numerous young men as they worked on the farm. Her nephew, Bob Linton, lived with the family for several years and was loved and supported as one of her own. She supported and attended all of her children and grandchildren in their numerous interests and activities. Each grandchild held a special secret knowing that they were her favorite. The only thing that rivaled the love of her family in her heart was her BYU Cougars. Irene was a homemaker and master organizer. She took pride in her clean house and neat yard. She was a good cook and enjoyed finding and experimenting with new recipes. She was an avid quilter. She hand-quilted hundreds of quilts for people all over the United States, as well as making quilts and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irene was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served and loved many during her missionary service and numerous church callings. Irene loved people and made friends easily everywhere she went. Her greatest gift to her family will always be the amazing example of obedience and Christ like love. Irene is survived by her husband of 72+ years, Golden R. Mangelson; children: Jerry (Marilyn) Mangelson of Levan, Russell (Christie) Mangelson of Levan, Patty (Mark) Jones of Nephi, Julie (Fred) Smalley of Levan, and Melanie (Charlee) McNeill of Grantsville, UT; 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Bosh; twin sister, Jeane Linton; and granddaughter, Erica Jones; nephew, Robert W. Linton. Funeral services will be held in the Levan Chapel on Tuesday, July 23, at 11:00 am. Visitation held Monday evening, July 22, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment following the service at the Levan Town Cemetery. Our family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at the Victorian House Assisted Living and A Plus Home Health and Hospice who helped with Mom’s care. Our extended thanks go out to everyone who crossed her path throughout her lifetime. She loved you all.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Erma Irene Bosh Mangelson November 17 1926 July 18 2019 (age 92).
