Elmer’s Obituary VINTON, Elmer Lawrence – of Flint, MI, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date. Elmer was born in Coldwater Township, MI on September 30, 1930, son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Watson) Vinton. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from1951-1953 during the Korean War. Elmer married Patricia Ward on November 13, 1954, and she survives him. His hobbies included woodworking and gardening. Elmer enjoyed travelling, camping, and just being outdoors. He was a Tool and Die Maker for Buick, working at Buick City as a Team Leader. Elmer is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Vinton; children, Terry (James) Vondrasek, David (Theresa) Vinton, and Kurt (Jackie) Vinton; grandchildren, Joshua (Maria), Nathan, Troy (Michelle), Tyler (Saundra), Karrie (Chad), and Samantha (Nate); 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruby, Evelyn, Bonita, Katherine, Jim, and Clarence; many nieces and nephews.
