Ellen Regina Roberts, 87, of Nappanee and formerly of Rochester and Akron passed at 12:07 pm, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Center for Hospice of Elkhart, Indiana. She was born on Oct. 17, 1931 in Fulton County, Ind. to Ira Morris and Nina L. (Riley) Spurlock. She married on Sept. 10, 1949 in Athens, Indiana to Harold Max Roberts, he preceded her on Nov. 2, 1993. Regina had worked for Hart Schaffner & Marx of Rochester for 22 years. She was a member of The Cross of Rochester and attended services at the Heritage House that were conducted by the Nappanee Missionary Church. She enjoyed passing time playing cornhole and Wii Bowling. Survivors and place of residence: Daughters – Sara and husband Joe French – Nappanee, Ind. Joyce and husband John Branch – Hanceville, Alabama 4 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren Sister – Sue Kay and husband LeVaugh Gross – Peru, Ind. Preceded in Death By: Husband – Max Roberts Sister – Carol Vandermark Half Brother – Sam Harmon Great Grandson – Gavin McDonald A private family graveside service was held at the Athens Cemetery with nephew Pastor Aaron Gross officiating. Arrangements for were entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
