Eileen’s Obituary Eileen Pearson, 89, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Legendary Nursing and Rehab in Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall with Pastor William Voelker officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Legendary Nursing and Rehab in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com Born March 29, 1930, in Sidney, IL, Eileen was the daughter of the late Vernon Pearson and Emma Lou Wascher Pearson. She had lived in Marshall since 1941 and was a 1948 graduate of Marshall High School. After graduation Eileen moved to Kansas City where she graduated from Kansas City Junior College and Kansas City Business College. She then returned to Marshall and attended Missouri Valley College and completed her degree in education. Eileen taught for one year at Nelson High School and then for 29 years at Malta Bend R-5 School. While teaching at Malta Bend, she earned her master’s degree in education from Missouri Valley College. She retired from teaching in 1990 and worked at Lindeman’s Office Supply and was active in the Saline County Historical Society. Eileen was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school, participated in the vocal choir, bell choir, and was a member of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Other memberships included: Association of American University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, National Education Association, Missouri State Teachers Association, Missouri Retired Teachers Association, Saline County Area Retired Teachers Association, Malta Bend PTA, and Nelson PTA.
