Earline’s Obituary Earline M. Dickson, age 94, Joplin, passed away at 9:33 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Galena Nursing Center after an illness. Earline was born April 17, 1925 in Noel, Missouri to the late Earl Ball and Sylvia Wright Ball and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life. A homemaker, Earline was a faithful member of Iron Gates Christian Church and actively supported the Joplin Association for the Blind. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Earline married Donald D. Dickson on February 26, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1997. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Irene McConnell and Jennie Mae Smith; and brothers, Bill Lewis, Earl Henry Ball and John Ball. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Switzer, Joplin; one brother, Donald Ball and wife, Sandy, Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Services are planned for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Steve Cooper will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.
