Cottrell’s Obituary On the afternoon of July 15, 2019, God saw fit to call home another one of his faithful servants. As he lived his life, his death was not any different, as he was surrounded with love and comfort by his family. Cottrell, the baby of the Andrews bunch, was the 11th child of the late Elder J.H and Anna Latham Andrews. He was born April 30th, 1930 in Gibson County, TN. Cottrell was educated in the Gibson County school system, where he later graduated from Rosenwald High School in Trenton, TN. As all his siblings before him, Cottrell Andrews was born into a spiritual legacy that has guided him into the Primitive Baptist Church. He was baptized and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Cottrell was ordained and served faithfully as a Deacon at New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church as well as The Big Creek Association. He remained a humble servant until his demise. Following in the footsteps of his father and brother, Cottrell began farming at a very early age. He was also a school bus driver for 49 years. In 1956, Cottrell joined in holy matrimony with Rebecca Avery. To this union two children were born. He was a faithful husband and supportive parent. Cottrell was gentle, funny, generous, and full of wisdom with a very quiet demeanor. Cottrell leaves to celebrate his legacy and cherish his memory, one son, Carter (Chris) Andrews, Humboldt, TN, one daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Young, Nashville, TN, three grandchildren, Ashley, Tampa, FL, Avery, Charlotte, NC, and Colten, Nashville, TN.
