Claude (Sonny)’s Obituary Claude “Sonny” Wilmont Carroll, Jr., 97, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at his home. Sonny was born August 24, 1921 in Caddo, OK to Claude Wilmont and Maude Pearl (Sorrels) Carroll. Sonny married Betty Lou Hinsley on September 26, 1942 in Aubrey and she preceded him in death on January 6, 1990. He married Anna Foley on September 1, 1990 in Aubrey. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2015. Sonny is survived by his two sisters, Patsy Mullen of Aubrey, TX and Betty Ruth Dockins of Mesquite, TX; two sisters-in-law, Louise Carroll of Aubrey, TX and Jonell Carroll of Pilot Point, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; three brothers, Billy Paul “Pete” Carroll, Jimmy Thomas Carroll, and Charles Edward “Bo” Carroll; and sister, Florence Adeline “Fay” Holbert. Visitation will be held 10:00AM-11:00AM, Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX and the funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with Bob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
