Mr. Charles “Charlie” E. Davis, 71, resident of Petersburg, died on Saturday, July 14, 2019 at his residence. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Kevin Callahan and Larry Hames officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton. Born on August 30, 1947 in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Earl M. Davis and the late Virginia Ruth Blackwell Davis. Charlie was a retired employee of ICP and loved to go fishing. Survivors include his beloved wife, Gail Hames Davis; sons, Charles E. (Darlene) Davis of Lewisburg, Joey (Michaela) Davis of Lewisburg; daughters, Tammy (Mike) Stafford of Pulaski, Angie (Chris) Rodgers of Lewisburg; brother, Jimmy (Lynn) Davis of Fayetteville; sister, Sherry McKnight of Lewisburg; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren Active pallbearers will be Nathan Welch, Jason Welch, Justin Wells, Coty Davis, Chris Henson, Chris Dodson. Honorary Pallbearers include Jackson Wells and Mason Welch. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203.
