Charles’ Obituary Charles Elwyn Lafayette, 51, of Texarkana, Texas passed away July 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 7, 1968 in Lone Star, Texas. He worked as a Captain of Corrections at the Barry Telford Unit. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Hayes and his niece Courtney Lafayette. He is survived by his wife Michelle Lafayette;three children Cody Lafayette, Solomon Davis, and Alexis Davis; one grandchild Easton Lafayette; his father Joe Lafayette; two brothers Darrin Lafayette of Nash, Texas and Troy Lafayette, of Atlanta; three sisters Denise Montgomery and her husband Ottis of Texarkana, Texas, Christie Rawls and her husband Frelando of Texarkana, Texas, and Tomika Jones of Killeen, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews; and may other friends and family. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2PM Friday August 2, 2019 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel.
