Bobby Gene Graves, 87, of Franklinville, died Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Joey Greene and Rev. Jim Honeycutt officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Bobby was born on July 30, 1931, in Caswell Co., to the late Robert Glenn Graves and Janie Love Wade Graves. He retired from the US Army after 22 years of service. He served in Germany, Korea, and 2 tours in Vietnam. He was also retired from Eastern Randolph as a bus driver and maintenance. Mr. Graves was a former member of the Randolph County Honor Guard and attended Panther Creek Baptist Church. Bobby loved his kids, grandkids, and his new puppy Maggie, and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Bobby was proceeded in death by his brother, Garland Lee Graves. Surviving are his wife Jane Graves of the home; sons, Brad Brownie and wife Chasity of Randleman, Ben Brownie of Asheboro; grandchildren, Bailey Brownie, Natalie Brownie, Brayden Brownie, and Aurora Brownie; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
