Beth Ann Schmiers, 45, of East Moline passed away July 6, 2019 at her home. A celebration of life will be 5-8pm Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Matherville Eagle’s Hall (209 6th Avenue). Memorials may be made to the family. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Beth was born July 16, 1973 in Moline, IL the daughter of Jack and Sharon James Schmiers. She worked for several Mother Hubbard/7-11 Convenient stores in the Quad City area for 20 years. She loved her job and was very much a people person. She enjoyed playing tricks on people and enjoyed making them laugh. Beth was the fun and goofy person at any gathering. Her playful personality and silliness was contagious. Beth especially loved spending time with her family. Survivor include the love of her life Scott Vandewalle; children Jarad (Jessica) Vandewalle and Lindsey Vandewalle; grandchildren Emma, Carson and Carter; siblings Amy (Doug) Miller of Matherville, Sean (Kantina) Schmiers of Stronghurst, IL, and James (Tina) Roman of Wheatland, IA; nieces and nephews Kayla (Josh) Vynke, Courtney (Mike) Begeske, Drew Schmiers, Briana Schmiers, Sean T. Schmiers, and Maggie Miller and 5 great nieces and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her parents.
