Benny Clifford Senn, 71, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Friday, August 2, 2019 beginning at 12:00 PM. The interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Benny was born on February 14, 1948 in Brundidge, AL to the late Johnny and Chairtie Senn. He proudly served his country for many years in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his time in the military, Benny worked as an output specialist at Aflac. This wonderful man loved to read and work crossword puzzles, but, most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, who was the love of his life. Benny will be greatly missed, but he will always hold a very special place in the hearts of all who knew him. Other than his parents, Benny is preceded in death by his brothers, Buford Senn, Edward Senn and Jack Senn. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Lydia Senn; sister, Winnie Sherrod (Harold) of Sylvester, GA; brothers, Billy Senn (Beth) of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Johnny Senn (Gerri) of Macon, GA; Gene Senn (Kathy) of Salem, AL; his cat, Sassafras; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
