Barbara Tabor Greenwell, age 97, passed away on July 26, 2019 at the Lifestar Adult Family Home in Centralia, Washington. Barbara was born on November 17, 1921 to Archie and Mable (Ranney) Tabor in Tampa, Florida. In 1942, she married Ray Greenwell. Ray was in the Merchant Marines and spent much of their 40+ yrs together on a cargo ship. Barbara also worked during WWII where she maintained and repaired cryptic code machines. In the sixties she owned a horse ranch and loved to garden. She was also involved in the Olympia Ballet Guild. When they both retired they spent some time traveling in their RV. Barbara moved here about 20 yrs ago and became very involved in Altrusa and the Pearl Street Pool. Barbara also loved the Discovery Tours and they took a lot of those trips. Barbara is survived by her son, Thomas A Greenwell of Centralia, WA; daughter, Teine Brown; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Greenwell; Father, Archie L Tabor; and Mother, Mable R Tabor. Donations can be made to Assured Home Health Hospice in memory of Barnara.
