Barbara Bigham, age 87, of Etowah, died unexpectedly on June 18, 2019. She previously lived in Watertown, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl E. Bigham. She was the daughter of the late Maryann and Erich Laue. Barbara was a graduate of Boston University and became a compassionate and caring RN for many years. She previously worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital, CT and Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. She also was a very talented cook, weaver, baker, knitter, craft maker and gardener. Barbara was a loving, caring older sister to Eva Kamlah of Mainz, Germany and the late Peter Laue of Cape Cod, MA. She was a dear and wonderful step-mother and mother-in-law to Maureen A. Hartnett (Rick) of Braintree, MA, Peter Bigham of Whitman, MA, Barbara Stokes (late Danny) of Gaffney, SC, Lt. John Bigham (Joyce Recchia) of Terryville, CT and the late Richard Bigham of FL and William Bigham (Joan) of Hendersonville, NC.
